Caloundra City School Principal Karon Graham recently congratulated Pelican's Nest Early Learning Centre on our commitment to careful planning and programming".

Principal Graham stated, The staff at Pelican’s Nest are to be congratulated on their excellent care and the quality of programmes they provide for the young children who attend our Early Learning Centre.

There is often a perception in the community that staff in child care spend their day having a lovely time playing with the children. As part of community education, it is important to know that staff in child care have many varied and detailed aspects to their roles. Each day is carefully planned and programming is of the highest quality in line with accreditation requirements. Staff also keep comprehensive observations on the children and these are used to influence further planning for future experiences.

After spending time at Pelican’s Nest I am full of praise for the quality of care offered by the staff and  Director, Sandra Taylor. As the Centre is now almost to capacity I believe that this also reflects the Child Care Centre's reputation in the community for providing such a high quality service.
