On Wednesday, October 22, Pelican’s Nest was proud to play host to the amazing Cyndi O’Meara. Cyndi, author of the acclaimed “Changing Habits, Changing Lives”, spoke to a large group of staff, parents and friends who were all eager to learn about her strategies for enhancing our health, and that of our children, through a more natural diet. We were treated to food preparation demonstrations and taste tests as well as having the opportunity to speak 1:1 with Cyndi about our specific concerns or needs regarding our health and dietary habits.

Basically, Cyndi believes many of our health and diet problems stem from the additives in our diet- proof of this is the alarming increase in disease and obesity since the 80’s when modified foods became popular. Particularly concerning are the statistics regarding childhood illnesses and conditions including ADD, food allergies, asthma, autism etc etc…. sadly, our children today are all at risk of developing these disorders which are now “common”.

Cyndi has proven that eliminating certain modified foods, and increasing natural/organic foods in our diet can either prevent, alleviate or cure many diseases and conditions previously thought to be permanent or fatal!
